Parent/Teacher
Conferences: I cannot thank you all enough for coming to
conferences! It was a joy to meet with
each of you to talk about your child’s school growth so far! I’m excited to see where this group can go
this year!!! Keep reading books,
reviewing ABC’s and sight words as well as counting with your child! A great nightly routine! Sight words are difficult for a few! They will be bringing home a few books they
have colored to read to you this week!
If
we haven’t talked yet, we will in the
next day or so!
At
conferences I had a yellow paper for Title 1 family night and 2 white papers
with math and sight word game ideas on!
If you did not receive one, let me know!
I’m afraid I missed a few of you!
Please
return the yellow Title 1 invitation if you are planning to attend! It’s all free!!
Halloween party:
I
will send a reminder of the thing (s) you signed up to bring to our party at
the end of this newsletter! Thank you
for helping us out!
The
children will be making little treat bags.
If your child would like to bring candy to share with their friends they
may do so. We will not be eating candy
at school. It will go in their school “trick-or-treat”
bag. We have 21 children in the class.
If
you signed up to volunteer, 12:30 would be a great time to come! We will get into costumes and use the
bathroom at that time.
Costumes: We do not allow weapons (swords, guns,
knives, etc.—including fairy wands).
Please keep them home for your trick-or-treating adventure. Please send costumes in backpacks—we don’t
dress up until after lunch. We also don’t have a lot of time for make-up.
PJ & POPCORN PARTY on Thursday—children may
wear their pj’s to school—just make sure they have a change of clothes in case
they want to change! Please remember tennis shoes—we will still have gym!
NO
school on Friday November 2 or Thursday November 15.
