STUDENT OF THE WEEK:  Nathan
Nathan likes playing X-Box, cars and trucks and building stuff.  He likes to eat Mac and cheese, pizza and tacos.  His favorite movie is Jurassic World and favorite books are Tractor books.  His goals are making more friends and ride in a monster truck.

We will be doing a class collection next week with our math lesson.  Can you send in clean pop, milk or water bottle lids for us to use?

READING:
This week we are reading about our country and our symbols.  Anna goes to Washington will show us these!

Vocabulary:  country & travel

WRITING:
We are learning to write an opinion letter.  We will be writing to the incoming preschoolers and writing something we like about kindergarten.

SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES:
We are working on a map skills book.  We’ve talked about our community, state, USA and world.  We went outside and learned how to find NSEW by using the morning sun.  The children learned the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
Science we are looking in to motion and how things move.

MATH:
We are learning about estimating.  We are also practicing addition up to 10

Welcome back!  Hope everyone had a restful week!  I'm excited to get back in to a routine with the children and continue learning!!!

Ayden likes to play with Olivia, ride his bike and has a dog named Titon.  He likes to eat hotdogs and Ramen Noodles.  His favorite movie is Ninja Turtles and favorite book is Digger Man.  His goals are to ride his bike and play basketball

READING: Our book focuses on transportation varieties.

This week we are beginning map skills.  We looked at Google Earth and zoomed in from way out to right over our school!
