September 15 week...

Yea!  The blog bugs have been worked out and I'm back!!!

We had a very busy week!

The butterflies emerged and we learned so much about them!  The children all got to have one on them, we had a few loose in the classroom and Friday we released a few.  We read a book called "Gotta Go!  Gotta Go!  It tells the story of Monarchs migrating to Mexico.  I put a map on the screen for them to see the United States so they could get a feel for the migration from Michigan to Mexico.

We are reviewing the alphabet through September 26.  We have learned sight words I, can and the.

The children have expeienced www.starfall.com with each letter we talk about.  Next is to use iPads to write their name as well as letters and numbers.

In Math we have practiced sorting by attributes (color, size and shape), writing numbers and recognizing numbers.  We are learning a poem for each number to help remember how to write it.

We have music on Tuesday and gym on Tuesday and Thursday. Thank you for remembering gym shoes on those days!!!
