DATES:
April 15:  Delayed Start
April 19: Good Friday
               We WILL have school
               HALF DAY—dismissal 11:35
April 26:  Kindergarten Round up
             **NO KINDERGARTEN

Please continue to send coats and gloves—snow pants and boots if it’s a very cold day or snow has returned!  Please send gym shoes on Monday and Thursday –I know some are starting to wear flip flops or sandals—they can not be worn for gym!

READING FOLDERS:

Continuing our look at taking care of our earth.  Earth day is April 22.

Finishing our teen color book, looking at addition and subtraction strategies (using a number line).

SCIENCE & SOCIAL STUDIES:
Continuing our look in to recycling and how to take good care of our earth by using the 3-R’s----REDUCE< REUSE<RECYCLE.  Earth Day is Monday April 22.

Please read with your child every night!  I’m seeing some real excitement in the classroom with the children wanting to be able to read!  Some are reading books to the class!

SCIENCE & SOCIAL STUDIES:
We are beginning to take a look at how we can help make our earth better!  We will be looking at ways to recycle!

MATH: 
Exploring teen numbers, investigating 3D shapes, practicing with a pan balance.

WRITING:
We continue to write daily in our journals.  We are talking about small moments and will be writing our own small moment story soon.

MATH:  We are working on addition and subtraction.  We are also learning to sort according to attributes (color, shape, size, thickness)

SCIENCE & SOCIAL STUDIES:
We will continue to learn about living things and their7 characteristics.  We will also be looking at things that help us know it is spring.  We will begin to work on understanding responsibility.
