SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES
We have been talking about winter weather and activities.  This week we will learn a bit about Presidents Lincoln and Washington.
We will learn about our heart and the importance of eating healthy and exercise.
Our character traits for this month are integrity and self-control.  When children are seen using these characters they receive a token for their token necklace!

Parent/Teacher conferences are next Thursday.  Letters are going home with this newsletter.  If you didn’t receive one and would like a conference, please give me a call or write me a note and I will try to schedule one.  We only have time between 4-7 –unfortunately it’s not enough time for all 21.  We can even talk on the phone!

Here is the Valentine information from past newsletter.  Please note—I forgot to add our high school helper to the list—Kayla comes the last hour of the day and helps!!!
VALENTINE”S DAY:
Our Valentine party will be after  lunch.  We will keep it simple.  The children will pass out their own Valentine’s.  We will watch a Valentine movie and enjoy a snack.  Following is a list of children’s names and any adults that help in the room.  Try to have your child write his/her name on the cards   They all do a fantastic job writing names!  Try to do a few cards each day to make it easier!  We make Valentine bags in the classroom.
