April 12:  Kindergarten Round up

              **NO KINDERGARTEN

April 15:  Delayed Start

April 19: Good Friday

               We WILL have school

               HALF DAY—dismissal 11:35

April 26:  Kindergarten Round up

             **NO KINDERGARTEN

Please continue to send coats and gloves—snow pants and boots if it’s a very cold day or snow has returned!  Please send gym shoes on Monday and Thursday –I know some are starting to wear flip flops or sandals—they can not be worn for gym!

Please return all BOOK-IT calendars.  The coupons expire soon!

READING:

We will be reading about animals for a while.  This week we are reading The Birthday Pet

When reading—question your child about the characters, setting and plot.

READING FOLDERS:

Please send all reading folders back to school on FRIDAYS!

WRITING:

We continue to write daily in our journals.  We are talking about small moments and will be writing our own small moment story soon.

MATH:  We are working on addition and subtraction.  We are also learning to sort according to attributes (color, shape, size, thickness)

SCIENCE & SOCIAL STUDIES:

We will continue to learn about living things and their7 characteristics.  We will also be looking at things that help us know it is spring.  We will begin to work on understanding responsibility.
