finished up our review week Monday and Tuesday.
Thursday we started the new unit on plants and what they need to grow.

MATH:
We
will be learning to play Top it (what you may remember as War). We will also begin learning addition. We are exploring the number grid (Counting
Board app) to 100 on our Ipads.
SCIENCE—
We
will continue to look at motion.
We
will also be talking about winter weather
WRITING:
We
journal write daily.
We
will be drawing a snowman using rhyming words.
We will be working on pattern books (books similar to Brown Bear, Brown
Bear)
Assessments:
The
children did the DIBELS test Monday. (the 1 minute test—letters, sounds and
blending)
The
18th we are taking the reading portion of the computer test (NWEA)
and next Tuesday we do the Math. I will
begin doing report card assessments in the next few weeks for report cards that
come home in February.
I’m
quickly assessing sight words and numbers to see where the kids are at! I’ll send a sheet home as I finish them! We’ve introduced through at as of this
week! 19 so far! There is 51 total!
Children
that turned in their Christmas homework sheets received a book.
Monday
is the last day to turn those and the December Pizza Hut calendars.
