READING:
Our big book is Bear Snores on. We are learning about different kinds of
animals and their habitats. They learned
in the story that a bear lives in a lair.

Comprehension: cause

WRITING:
We write in our journals every day. February journals went home ! I hope you are enjoying reading their
writing!
We will begin a new small moment story and try to add more details
and use speech bubbles.
MATH:
We are learning to add and subtract. We will be doing different games to practice
while we use different strategies: number
lines, manipulatives, counting on, drawing a picture, using our fingers,
counting backwards.
We are also returning to our discussion of attributes with
our attribute blocks—we will look at how to sort them—according to size, shape,
color or thickness.
SCIENCE & SOCIAL STUDIES:
We will begin talking about maps and globed. We will begin with our houses, community,
state and work from there.
I appreciate all you do to reinforce the skills that are
