WRITING:
We write in our journals every day.  February journals went home !  I hope you are enjoying reading their writing!
We will begin a new small moment story and try to add more details and use speech bubbles.

MATH:
We are learning to add and subtract.  We will be doing different games to practice while we use different strategies:  number lines, manipulatives, counting on, drawing a picture, using our fingers, counting backwards.
We are also returning to our discussion of attributes with our attribute blocks—we will look at how to sort them—according to size, shape, color or thickness.

SCIENCE & SOCIAL STUDIES:
We will begin talking about maps and globed.  We will begin with our houses, community, state and work from there.

I appreciate all you do to reinforce the skills that are being taught at school!  The children are moving right along!  Keep up the good work!  Keep on READING!!!!
